PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact type fastening tool which quickly returns a hydraulic operating fluid into a liner chamber, and journaling the main shaft in a relatively stable state.SOLUTION: The impact type fastening tool includes a motor M as a driving source; a hydraulic pulse generating mechanism P jounaling the main shaft 7 in the liner filled with the hydraulic operating fluid, and applying intermittent impacts to the main shaft 7 under hydraulic pressure generated through a relative rotation between the liner and the main shaft 7; and an automatic stop mechanism for stopping the motor M based on the pressure of the hydraulic operating fluid. The rear end 73 of the main shaft 7 is rotatably journaled through the clearance in a jounal hole 42a formed in the liner. The clearance includes portions where the clearance dimension becomes relatively large and small, respectively. |
