PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collecting container and a vacuum cleaner including the same, effectively cleaning and/or deodorizing an accumulated dust layer.SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner 1 includes: a motor-driven blower 110 for generating suction air; an ion generating device 131 for generating positive ions and negative ions; a dust collecting container 121 for collecting dust by separating dust from the suction air; and an air fan 132 for feeding the positive ions and negative ions into the dust collecting container 121. The dust collecting container 121 includes: a suction air inlet 122 for introducing suction air containing dust; an exhaust port 123 provided for discharging the suction air from which dust is separated to the outside of the dust collecting container 121, and attached with a filter 124; an ion inlet 125 for introducing the positive ions and negative ions into the dust collecting container 121; and an opening and closing member 126 provided for closing the suction air inlet 122 and opening the ion inlet 125. |
