PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cultured product of Helicobacter heilmannii bacteria which cannot be cultured conventionally in vitro, to provide a method for culturing the H. heilmannii bacteria, to provide a medium for culturing the H. heilmannii bacteria, and to provide a method for inspecting the H. heilmannii bacteria.SOLUTION: The H. heilmannii bacteria can be cultured in an in vitro system by homogenizing the stomach of a H. heilmannii-infected animal, and treating the homogenized product with a pH 2.2 HCl-KCl buffer solution containing a Helicobacter pylori-selective supplement. Alternatively, the H. heilmannii bacteria can be cultured in the in vitro system by using a nutrient medium containing the Helicobacter pylori-selective supplement and catalase as a basal medium. The H. heilmannii bacteria-cultured product free from other microorganisms is obtained by collecting a colony obtained by the culture in the nutrient medium, and repeating a step for carrying out the culture in the nutrient medium at least for two times. |
