PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material having superior conductivity, heat resistance, sulfuration resistance, or selenium resistance, or an electrode material that can be used as electrodes of elements subjected to a sulfuration atmosphere or a selenium atmosphere in one step of manufacturing processes, and to provide an electrode using such an electrode material and an element using such an electrode material.SOLUTION: The electrode material contains at least Si and includes not less than 70 at% of Mo; the electrode uses such an electrode material; and the element uses such an electrode material. Preferably, an Si content is not more than 10 at%.
