PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device having a processor implementing a register renaming scheme, which eliminates memory access or register or waiting time for release of a register, which cannot be avoided by a means for only optimizing a program.SOLUTION: When a resister is used as shown in Fig.1(a) while implementing the register renaming scheme, a user (programmer and the like) issues a dedicated command (command to increase or decrease the number of unused virtual registers that can be allocated to a logical register), to be executed. Thereby, since the number of unused virtual registers can be changed as shown in Figs.1(b) and 1(c), the register optimized to its own program property can be used by software. Since memory accesses to back up data on the register to a memory and the waiting time for release of the register are reduced, the processing performance can be improved. |
