The machine has multiple handles i.e. push buttons (8, 10) provided in an operating device (1) for inputting a parameter of a treatment program, which has an effect in relation to duration and/or treatment intensity of an input program. The handles provided for the parameter are combined to a unitary handle (11) with multiple input positions i.e. light sections (14-18). The unitary handle has adjusting units, via which the positions are adjustable. The adjusting units are designed as knurled wheels (12) and coupled with a display arrow in a mechanical manner.
