PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an inconvenience caused by difficulty in seeing of a display screen due to reflection of sunlight.SOLUTION: This display device including a displaying means for performing display of a character string based on character data includes an illuminance detecting means disposed near the displaying means, a voice synthesizing means for converting the character data into voice of a corresponding language and outputting it, and a controlling means (steps 31-33) for outputting voice of the language corresponding to the character data with the voice synthesizing means when a character string of predetermined character data is displayed by the displaying means and when the detection value by the illuminance detecting means is a predetermined value or higher. |
