PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical use protective tape allowing direct print with an ink on a processed layer and having a low adhesiveness with an adhesive applied to an optical film; wherein the protective tape includes a plastic film base, an adhesive layer formed on one side of the plastic film base and the processed layer formed on the opposite side of plastic film base.SOLUTION: The protective tape includes: an adhesive layer 3 formed on one side of the plastic film base 2; and a processed layer 1 formed on the opposite side of plastic film base; wherein the processed layer 1 is formed with a processing agent including a release agent that contains a cellulose polymer and a long chain alkyl group and/or a silicone resin.
