PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber achieving miniaturization by integrating two juxtaposed shock absorbers and preventing a load from a hollow rod from being applied to a valve disc to which a valve is assembled.SOLUTION: This shock absorber D includes: a cylinder 1; a rod 2 movably inserted into the cylinder 1; the hollow rod 3 movably inserted into the cylinder 1 and also movably mounted on the periphery of the rod 2; and a piston 4 arranged around the periphery of the rod 2 or hollow rod 3, slidably inserted into the cylinder 1, and partitioning the inside of the cylinder 1 into a rod chamber R1 and a piston chamber R2. The piston 4 is provided with: a sliding contact body 23 fixed at the end of the rod 2 and made to slidably contact with the cylinder 1; and the valve disc 22 having a periphery held by the sliding contact body 23 on the side of the piston chamber R2 of the sliding contact body 23, and having passages 22a, 22b allowing the rod chamber R1 to communicate with the piston chamber R2. |
