PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scattering prevention device capable of making work operation flexible and facilitating an efficient construction in building construction work.SOLUTION: The scattering prevention device 1 is intended to prevent objects from scattering toward the outside of a building 51 in the demolition work of the building 51. The scattering prevention device 1 includes: four pieces of net-retainers 21-24 which are supported by beams 53a of the building 51, and are disposed so as to project upward from the upper end of the building 51 along side surfaces 51b, 51c of the building 51; and a protective net 11 which is retained by the four net-retainers 21-24 above the upper end of the building 51 so as to cover the upper surface 51a of the building 51. The four net retainers 21-24 can independently move mutually in the vertical direction with respect to the building 51.
