PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting degradation of an exhaust gas sensor, precisely detecting performance degradation of an exhaust gas sensor.SOLUTION: The device 100 for detecting a degradation of an exhaust gas sensor, has: a first heater current estimating means 16 to estimate the current of a heater 28 for heating an exhaust gas sensor based on the element resistance of the exhaust gas sensor 1; a heater current detecting means 12 to detect the heater current of the heater 28; a degradation determining means 18 to compare a heater current estimated by the first heater current estimating means 16 with the heater current detected by the heater current detecting means 12 to determine whether the exhaust gas sensor is degraded. |
