<p>The present invention describes a device for positioning an ultrasound probe (E) capable of being controlled in order to view and locate a limited area (C) in space, said area being an in vivo area of a subject, including: at least one sending/receiving portion of the probe supported by means of a mobile mounting (SE) arranged under an opening (O) of a plane (T) which has the subject resting on the surface thereof, said mounting being movable at least parallel to said plane; a cavity (CAV) arranged on an area of the plane opening and completely filled with an acoustic gel (G), such that said gel provides an acoustic guide that is free from any air gaps on an ultrasound channel between the sending/receiving portion of the probe and the surface portion by which the subject is resting on one of the surfaces of the cavity.</p> |
