PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make response speed higher, and to prevent reduction of display quality of an image.SOLUTION: A pixel 1 where a transmission part 52 and a reflection part 51 are disposed is formed in a liquid crystal display panel. The thickness of a liquid crystal layer 30 of the reflection part 51 is formed to be thinner than the thickness of the liquid crystal layer 30 of the transmission part 52, polymer layers 14 and 24 for retaining the pretilt angle of liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer 30 are formed between alignment layers disposed on an element substrate 10 and a counter substrate 20 respectively and the liquid crystal layer 30, and at least one of the alignment layers disposed on each of the element substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20 has an organic alignment layer 17 or an organic alignment layer 27 made of an organic material arranged on a surface in contact with the polymer layer 14 or the polymer layer 24 of the transmission part 52 and has an inorganic alignment layer 16 or an inorganic alignment layer 26 made of a material having an inorganic skeleton arranged on a surface in contact with the polymer layer 14 or the polymer layer 24 of the reflection part 51. |
