TITANIUM PLATE AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

There is provided a titanium plate having both high strength and good workability. The titanium plate is made of a titanium material in a plate shape, the titanium material consisting of by mass: more than 0.10% and less than 0.60% iron; more than 0.005% and less than 0.20% oxygen; less than 0.015% carbon; less than 0.015% nitrogen; less than 0.015% hydrogen; and balance titanium and unavoidable impurities, provided that the iron content is greater than the oxygen content, wherein the titanium plate has a two-phase structure of an α phase and a &bgr; phase and the circle-equivalent mean diameter of α phase grains is 10 μm or less.
