The unit has an evaporator (5) i.e. finned-type evaporator, mounted in an evaporating pan (4). A supply pipe (6) i.e. suction pipe, is attached to the evaporator and the pan. A pair of catch hooks (16) is formed at the pan. The supply pipe is clamped between the hooks. The hooks engage a deformable casing (9) of the supply pipe. The deformable casing seals a tubular passage (14), which is formed at the pan. The pipe is locked in an opening of the pan by a clamp, which is opened at an edge. The clamp includes a catch projection, which engages an edge of the opening.
