The roller has a hollow rolling unit (2) rotatably supported against a cross head (1) on a bearing (5). A drive wheel (7) is connected with the hollow rolling unit and is not coaxially arranged towards an adjacent axis (c) of the cross head and is rotatably arranged around a counter angle (alpha) opposite to the axis of the cross head. The counter angle is oriented against bending angle (beta), and the cross head is deflected around the bending angle at a region of the bearing during loading. The drive wheel is rotatably guided by a bearing device (10) that is arranged at a bearing block (3).
