The device has a clamping ring made of an elastic material, provided with through-holes (12) for retaining cables and/or lines (16) and pushed tightly to the cables and/or the lines by axial deformation by flange plates (4). The flange plates are provided with recesses and lie opposite to end surfaces of the clamping ring. The flange plates are pretensionable with each other. The flange plates are supported at one of the end surfaces of the clamping ring at an outer ring (2). Opposite edges of the flange plates are aligned parallel to each other.
