PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling sound quality of an audio device according to hearing of an individual user are provided to enable a user who has difficulty in hearing to appreciate music of better quality by compensating for loss of the hearing. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling sound quality of an audio device according to hearing of an individual user includes a user hearing profile requesting unit(110), a pure sound generating unit(120), a user input unit(130), a hearing profile storage unit(140), a pure sound measurement control unit(150), a pure sound reference profile storage unit(160), a specific profile storage unit(170), and a sound quality control unit(180). The user hearing profile requesting unit displays a hearing profile request screen to a user. The user input unit inputs a frequency and a level signal which reacts to ears of a user according to a pure sound outputted from the pure sound generating unit. The pure sound reference profile storage unit stores a reference frequency for hearing and a profile of a reference level. The sound quality control unit compensates for an equalizer value according to the frequency and the level for hearing with loss through the user input unit.
