<p>A hair iron for straight permanents includes a pair of arms (1) joined by a pivot (10) to enable opening and closing, and hair pinching parts (2) formed in such a way that they approach and leave in accordance with the closing and opening of the arms (1). On both hair pinching parts (2), convex and concave arrays in waveform cross sections (20) are formed in the arms (1) so as to engage each other when the arms (1) are in the approaching position.
