PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracer particle generation device for particle image flow velocity measuring devices, capable of generating a uniform tracer particle having an appropriate grain size.SOLUTION: A tracer particle supply means 13 includes a collision jet type nozzle 42 for allowing the axes of two jet nozzles 41 for surrounding the periphery of an oil exhaust nozzle 43 for jetting out oil by an air exhaust nozzle 44 for mutually jetting out air to be crossed. Compressed air is supplied from a compressed air supply source 45 to an oil tank 46 via a first air passage 47 to pressurize oil; the oil is supplied to the two oil exhaust nozzles 43 of the collision jet type nozzle 42 via an oil passage 48; and compressed air is supplied from the compressed air supply source 45 to the two air exhaust nozzles 44 of the collision jet type nozzle 42 via a second air passage 52, thus generating uniform tracer particles having an appropriate grain size. |
