PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt transmission system inhibiting drop of transmission efficiency even after start of an engine.SOLUTION: The belt transmission system 10A, 10B includes a motor pulley 5 of a motor generator 2 transmitting starting power to an engine 1, a crank pulley 4 transmitting starting power of the motor generator 2 to the engine 1 and transmitting rotary power of the engine 1 to the motor pulley 5, endless belt wound around the motor pulley 5 and the crank pulley 4, and a belt tension adjusting device 7 applying tension on the belt 6, accompanying contraction and expansion. The belt tension adjusting device 7 includes a contraction inhibition device 12 disposed at a span which becomes a tension side span when the engine 1 is driven and inhibiting contraction of the belt tension adjusting device 7 when the motor generator 2 is used as a generator. |
