摘要 <p>A control device for a belt-type continuously variable transmission (CVT) (26) which is connected through the forward clutch (30a) to the engine (drive source) (10) mounted on a vehicle (14) and transmits the output of the engine to the driving wheels (12) of the vehicle after changing the speed of the output. The control device determines whether or not the vehicle is in a predetermined operating condition in which there is a possibility that, for example, panic braking can be performed by the driver (S10, S12). When it is determined that the vehicle is not in the predetermined operating condition, the control device sets a first value as the friction coefficient µ of the clutch and calculates and controls a target supply hydraulic pressure to be supplied to the clutch (S14, S16), while when it is determined that the vehicle is in the predetermined operating condition, the control device sets a second value greater than the first value and calculates and controls the target supply hydraulic pressure (S18 to S22). As a result, even if excessive input torque is inputted from the driving wheel side in panic braking, etc. in the predetermined operating condition, the target supply hydraulic pressure is calculated so that the higher the friction coefficient, the lower the target supply hydraulic pressure. This causes the second value higher than the first value to be set, so that the target supply hydraulic pressure can be set to a value lower than that when the vehicle is not in the predetermined operation condition.</p>
