The unit has ropes (3a, 3b) wound and/or unwound at a trolley (1) by a drum, where one of the ropes is turned at a lift frame (2) with a roller (4a) in direction of a neighboring lift frame corner (E4) and back in direction of the trolley. The other rope is rotated in direction of another lift frame corner (E2) and back in trolley direction. Each rope is continuously changed in direction to the trolley after rotation at distance (A) between rope sections (3a', 3b') and a guided rope section. The rope sections are fastened to the trolley and guided back to the trolley.
