摘要 PURPOSE: A multi-layered nano aperture structure, a near field light generating apparatus, and an information recording and reproducing apparatus using the same are provided to relatively freely form a beam shape at a necessary location. CONSTITUTION: A multi-layered nano aperture structure, a near field light generating apparatus, and an information recording and reproducing apparatus using the same form a beam spot under a diffraction limit by changing distribution of incident light. At least one opening is included in a metal film(12). Metal films are arranged in parallel with intervals among them. Each opening formed in the metal films has one of square type, circular type, butterfly ribbon type, 'C' type, 'L form', and 'X' type. Distances among the metal films and a shape of an opening are based on a nano aperture structure so that the beam spot is circular.
