PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter capable of faithfully reproducing AdobeRGB specifications which are color reproduction specifications, and in particular, the color filter to be used for a liquid crystal display device of a notebook-type computer.SOLUTION: The color filter is to be used for a liquid crystal display device having a white light source, wherein green pixels contain, as coloring pigments, Pigment Yellow 150, Pigment Yellow 139 and Pigment Green 7, with the content of the Pigment Yellow 150 being not less than 60 wt.% in the coloring pigments. When a cold cathode-ray tube having an emission maximum at 505 to 535 nm is used as the white light source, chromaticity point of the green pixels satisfies numerical expressions 1 and 2, and Y is not less than 43. The chromaticity point of red pixels satisfies numerical expressions 1 and 3, while the chromaticity point of blue pixels satisfies numerical expressions 2 and 3. |
