When performing post-injection, a DPF system 6 is determined whether the system is in an inadequate state for the self-regeneration of a DPF 5 or in a state that the self-regeneration is possible from a temperature of exhaust gas. When a determination result indicates the inadequateness for self-regeneration, a post-injection amount and an interval are determined by referring to the first post-injection map 7a. When the determination result indicates the adequateness for self-regeneration, the post-injection amount and the interval are determined by referring to the second post-injection map 7b.
