PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control correction of an output of light by independently and individually detecting the output of a laser beam emitted from each channel of a semiconductor laser array during writing in an image forming region.SOLUTION: A plurality of laser beams emitted from the semiconductor laser array are divided, in a beam splitting section (a polarization beam splitter or the like), into a first laser beam group to be used for optical recording and a second laser beam group to be used for measuring output light. A PD (photodetector) array is disposed in such a manner that PDs correspond to the respective spot positions where the plurality of laser beams in the second laser beam group condensed by a lens are separated. A lens (quarter-wave plate) is disposed between the semiconductor laser array and the polarization beam splitter so as to prevent decrease in use efficiency of light in the first laser beam group. |
