摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve output response and fuel consumption of an engine during a VVT lead angle delay control for lagging operation of a variable valve mechanism than that at starting of the engine.SOLUTION: An ECU sets a second line L(2) as an engine operation line (S14) during the VVT lead angle delay control for inhibiting a lead angle in a valve opening period of an intake valve (YES in S12). The second line L(2) is an operation line set in consideration to the engine characteristics at VVT non-lead angle (minimum fuel consumption point and maximum torque). The ECU sets a first line L(1) as the engine operation line (S16) after the VVT lead angle delay control (NO in S12). The first line L(1) is an operation line set in consideration to the engine characteristics at the VVT lead angle.
