PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate musical sound, which conforms to a mode of generated sound in an ensemble using musical instruments, by making use of a maximum number of generated sounds to the maximum in a generator.SOLUTION: A sound source part 21 has a plurality of generators which generate waveform data on musical sounds of pitches which correspond to allocate performance operators. A CPU 11 allocates the pitches to the generators, so as to generate the musical sounds of the pitches which correspond to operated keys, in accordance with the operation of detected keys on a key board 16, and instructs the generation of the sounds. In particular, the CPU 11 allocates the pitches, which correspond to "ON"-state keys, to each of the generators, on the basis of the ratio of the velocity of each "ON"-state key to the total of the velocities of the "ON"-state keys, when the keys are pressed and so that the number of the generators becomes a maximum. |
