PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having compact and lightweight emitting mechanism and optical system.SOLUTION: The display device including a light guide 4 and a controller 10. In the light guide 4, emitting surfaces 42a and 42b are arranged in such a manner that angles of emitting surfaces 42a and 42b with respect to directions perpendicular to a first surface 43a and a second surface 43b may be reduced as it advances in the set direction, and the emitting surfaces can be switched between a transmission state where image display light is transmitted through the first emitting surface 42a and a reflection state where it is reflected on the first emitting surface 42a, and also set in a reflection state where the image display light is reflected on the second emitting surface 42b. The controller 10 outputs a first image signal showing an image that serves as a first portion to a display element 2 when a first state is set, and outputs a second image signal showing an image that serves as a second portion to the display element 2 when a second state is set, and also repeats the first state and the second state at set intervals. |
