PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a voice guide device for an escalator for easily changing an announcement for a user, with a simple constitution.SOLUTION: This voice guide device includes a voice information storage means 10M for storing predetermined voice data, voice output means SP1 and SP2 for outputting a predetermined announcement, a voice information external storage means 10MX arranged separately from the voice information storage means 10M and storing the predetermined voice data, an installation detecting means 10D for detecting whether or not the voice information external storage means 10MX is installed, and a voice information rewriting control means 10RC for determining whether or not the voice data of the voice information external storage means 10MX is a predetermined format and rewriting the content of the voice information storage means 10M based on the voice data when determining that the data of the voice information external storage means 10MX is the predetermined voice data. |
