PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow even a general program to edit image data for special printing.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: an image editing means which edits first image data comprising main image data having pixels wherein color gradation values indicative of colors are stored, and layer image data wherein pixels are arrayed in the same manner as the main image data; an image editing indication means which instructs the image editing means to store information indicative of whether each pixel of the main image data is a special pixel or not into the pixel of the layer image data; and a conversion means which specifies special pixels in the main image data on the basis of the layer image data and stores indexes associated with ink amounts for use in a printer, instead of color gradation values with respect to the specified special pixels and generates second image data wherein flags showing the special pixels are stored. |
