PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interlocking block which has excellent water-retaining property and water-absorbing property and high bending strength and which causes coolness to a pavement or the like, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The interlocking block is used for the construction of a pavement, the rooftop laying of a building, wall materials, the entrance of a public building, or the like, and is constituted of a surface layer part comprising of aggregate and cement and a base layer part comprising 4-10 wt.% of porous particles containing zeolite and the balance composed of aggregate and cement. The method for manufacturing the interlocking block includes: after naturally curing and drying raw materials, blending the raw materials so that the content of the porous particles containing zeolite becomes 4-10 wt.% and the balance is composed of aggregate and cement; after adding water to the blended materials, kneading the resulting mixture and pouring the kneaded material into a frame mold as a blended raw material for the base layer part; after that, adding water to aggregate and cement; kneading the resulting mixture; pouring the kneaded material into the frame mold as a blended raw material for the surface layer part; after press molding the poured blended raw materials under the vibration condition, performing demolding; and naturally curing and drying the obtained molding. |
