PURPOSE: A traffic information collection method, a system thereof, and an optical traffic sensor thereof are provided to measure the weight of a vehicle as traffic information by including an optical traffic sensor. CONSTITUTION: An optical traffic sensor(110) comprises an optical waveguide and a material. The optical waveguide is formed under a road. The material comprises a groove which has a unique waveform shape according to a lane. The wavelength and intensity of the optical signal are changed by the weight and material of a vehicle. An optical signal detector(120) detects the changed optical signal. A traffic information processor(130) analyzes the wavelength and intensity of the optical signal. The traffic information processor distinguishes a lane in which a vehicle passes. The traffic information processor measures the weight of a vehicle. |
