<p>Provided is a polyester carbonate copolymer that has a high refractive index, a high degree of transparency, low birefringence, little optical distortion, and is suited to optical lenses. Also provided is an optical lens using said polyester carbonate copolymer. The provided polyester carbonate copolymer contains 67-95 mol% of a unit represented by formula (I) and 5-33 mol% of a unit represented by formula (II), and has a specific viscosity between 0.12 and 0.30.
