PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the production of an antiangiogenic and/or vascular permeability reducing effect in a warm-blooded animal, concretely a method of combination therapy for the treatment of a cancer, particularly a cancer involving a solid tumor.SOLUTION: The methods comprise: one of the administration of ZD6474 in combination with 5-fluorouracil, i.e., 5-FU; the administration of ZD6474 in combination with Irinotecan, i.e., CPT-11; and the administration of ZD6474 in combination with 5-FU and CPT-11; the pharmaceutical composition comprising one of: ZD6474 and 5-FU; ZD6474 and CPT-11; and ZD6474 and 5-FU and CPT-11; the combination product comprising one of: ZD6474 and 5-FU; ZD6474 and CPT-11; and ZD6474 and 5-FU and CPT-11, for use in a method of treatment of a human or animal body by therapy; the kit comprising one of: ZD6474 and 5-FU; ZD6474 and CPT-11; and ZD6474 and 5-FU and CPT-11; to the use of one of: ZD6474 and 5-FU; ZD6474 and CPT-11; and ZD6474 and 5-FU and CPT-11, in the manufacture of a medicament for use in the production of an antiangiogenic and/or vascular permeability reducing effect in a warm-blooded animal such as a human which is optionally being treated with ionising radiation. |
