PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper carrying device for surely performing operation of a branch claw.SOLUTION: This paper carrying device includes a first gear 201 arranged on a driving shaft of a driving side reversal roller 103, a second gear 202 rockable by its reciprocal rotation, and a regulating hole 203 for regulating its rocking range, and has a chipped tooth gear 200 arranged on a rotary shaft of the branch claw 100, a regulating hole 207 for regulating a rotational range of the chipped tooth gear by a projection 205 arranged on its side surface, and a spring 206 for pulling the projection 205 in either end of the regulating hole by the positional relationship of the chipped tooth gear 200. When the driving side reversal roller 103 rotates in the direction for carrying papers to a paper ejecting passage 102, the second gear 202 engages with the chipped tooth gear 200, and switches the paper carrying direction to the other side. The chipped tooth gear is cut off up to a retreat position from a driving gear after switching the branch claw 100, and the operation of the branch claw is surely performed, and the occurrence of image inconvenience by paper carrying in a contact state is prevented. |
