PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting apparatus in which the trailing of high viscosity liquid can be reduced when the high viscosity liquid is ejected as a minute liquid droplet, and to provide a control method of the liquid ejecting apparatus.SOLUTION: The liquid ejecting apparatus can eject a liquid droplet having a weight of 5 ng or less from a nozzle by controlling a pressure generation means so that the static surface tension falls within the range of 24-30 mN/m when ink is ejected, the viscosity of ink in the pressure generation chamber falls within the range of 10-17 mPa s, and the flight speed of the liquid droplet ejected from the nozzle falls within the range of 7-11 m/s. |
