An image processing device includes a raw data reconstructor and a compression processor. In the raw data reconstructor, raw data on which signal processing is not performed is received after an A/D conversion and is decomposed on a per-color-component basis and reassembled to generate a plurality of plane data sets arranged color by color, which are further arranged and collected into one file which is a unit of compression processing. The one file, which is a unit of compression processing, has a plurality of arrangement regions partitioned on a per-color-component basis. The raw data reconstructor sorts the plane data sets arranged color by color to the arrangement regions and rearranges the result to generate reconstructed raw data, which is transferred to the compression processor. The compression processor performs compression processing on the reconstructed raw data.
