A conditioned air ducting system is provided for an access floor having a plurality of panels (18) supported by pedestals (16). The ducting system has spaced apart first and second duct wall assemblies (10) that define therebetween an air tight duct passageway (12) through which conditioned air is able to flow. Each assembly (10) has a stringer (14) supported by a respective set of pedestals (16). The stringer (14) has an upper portion (20) extending from one pedestal to another pedestal of the set and supporting the underside edges of adjacent panels (18) so as to close any gap therebetween. The stringer (14) also has a lower portion (30) for engaging a barrier wall (32). A bracket (42) secures the barrier wall (32) to a sub-floor (40). Each set of pedestals (16) is selected according to the desired width and positioning of the duct passageway (12). |
