PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance heat dissipation of a terminal box B for solar cell modules at low cost.SOLUTION: The terminal box B for solar cell modules is constituted by: arranging three or more terminal plates 12, to which electrodes (a) of solar cell modules M are connected, side by side, in a box body 11; providing reverse-current preventive diodes 13 between the respective adjacent terminal plates; and connecting cables P for external connection to terminal plates at both ends. Center terminal plates 12 are made of materials having higher heat dissipation than those of the terminal plates 12 at both the ends. The heat dissipation is set by suitably selecting plate thicknesses and materials. Material cost can be reduced by reducing the plate thickness. For the terminal plates at the ends serving as connection terminals with the cables for external connection, the materials which are thicker in plate thickness than the center terminal plates and inferior in heat dissipation to those of the center terminal plates are used to obtain sufficient connection strength with the cables for external connection. Metal which is inferior in heat dissipation is generally inexpensive. |
