<p>Provided is a communication system including a base station connected to a mobile telephone network via a public line, a mobile terminal, and a base station control device in the mobile telephone network. The base station transmits to the base station control device, information indicating whether the local station is enabled for direct inter-base station communication as base station attribute information and transfers a call request containing an identifier of a connection destination transmitted from a mobile terminal under control. The base station control device includes: a base station information registration unit (32) and a connection control unit (31). The station information registration unit (32) holds the base station attribute information received from the base station for each of the base stations. Upon reception of a call request transmitted from a mobile terminal, the connection control unit (31) judges whether both of the call side base station and the connection destination base station are enabled for direct inter-base station communication in accordance with the base station attribute information. If Yes, the connection control unit (31) decides a transmission path of the direct inter-base station communication as a transmission path for the call request and reports the decision to the base station.</p> |
