PURPOSE: A tag based program guide service providing method and an apparatus thereof for easily finding out a program in which a user wants are provided to support the channel search of the user. CONSTITUTION: A tag registering unit(300) registers one or more tags about a plurality of programs. A tag arranging unit(302) stands the registered tags according to the frequency. A network communication unit(306) transmits the tag related information according to queue. In case of the broadcasting reception terminal, the request of the user has the tag based on the tag related information.
