PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use a memory for picture processing by constituting line buffers to be shared for picture processing of a first mode and that of a second mode and changing line buffer constitution in a storing means in accordance with the number and the length of the line buffers to be required in the case the line buffers are used for picture processing of the second mode. SOLUTION: A memory part 5 is for constituting line buffers to be referred to by a picture processing A part 3 and a picture processing B part 4. The part 5 changes the length of the line buffers from a state where a prescribed number of line buffers of a prescribed length are constituted to increase or decrease the number of the line buffers, and provides the line buffers required when the part 3 and the part 4 respectively execute picture processing of the first and second mode. An output part 6 outputs processed picture data outputted from the part 3 and the part 4 to the outside of a picture processor 1.
