PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate cueing at a discontinuous part even in the case of continuous broadcast program on the same stream. SOLUTION: In digital broadcast which uses an event information table(EIT) as program description information existing on an MPEG system stream and can send program information of broadcast program to the receiving side, the table (EIT) is so sent that the sending period is shortened in order to enable cueing of the broadcast program at the switchover of the broadcast program, on the same stream. In another case, an event identifier for identifying the program information of the broadcast program is inserted in a program map table(PMT) having program managing information, in order to enable cueing of the broadcast program at the switchover of the broadcast program, on the same stream.
