A method of enabling a user to navigate program information with an interactive electronic program guide system, the method comprising:
displaying a first program;
in response to receiving a first user input, displaying a first display, including information about the first program, as an overlay on the first program;
in response to receiving a second user input after receiving the first user input, displaying a second display, including information for a plurality of programs, as an overlay on the first program.
