The oxygen sensor has a gas inlet (1), a gas outlet (8) and a measuring zone (3) between the gas inlet and gas outlet. The measuring zone has three channels arranged side by side in the form of a main channel (6). A measuring channel (7) is arranged on one side of the main channel and a reference channel (5) is arranged on the other side of the main channel. A magnet (4) is arranged on the side of the measuring channel opposite to the main channel and having a non-homogeneous magnetic field. Flow sensors are provided in the measuring channel and reference channel.
