PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve weight reduction and cost reduction and to eliminate the occurrence of a short shot, resin flash, etc. to enhance moldability in a manufacturing method of a trim element for a car. SOLUTION: The trim element (door trim upper) 20 comprises lightweight foamed resin base material 21 having shape retention and the resin molded part 22 (resin ribs 24, an outer peripheral resin frame 25 and a waist flange 26) integrated with the inner surface side of the resin base material 21. Accordingly, weight reduction and cost reduction are achieved by using the lightweight foamed resin base material 21 and reducing the projection area of the resin molded part 22. Further, a resin amount regulating storage part 44 is set to the outside of a product cavity from a gate G6 for supplying a resin to a region easy to cause over-filling and the short shot is avoided by continuously supplying the molten resin M1 to the resin amount regulating storage part 44 even after overflow to improve a gate balance.
