Specialised saw

The saw has a saw head (4) guided by a mobile guide device i.e. guide rail (1), in a mechanically controlled manner. A saw arm (5) is pivotably arranged at the saw head. A saw blade (6) is fixed at a radial end of the saw arm, where the saw blade is rotatably driven by a drive unit. An outermost peripheral area of the saw blade includes a cutting edge formed from hard metal. A modular gear unit i.e. reduction gear unit, is arranged between the saw blade and the drive unit. The gear unit ensures circumferential speed of the saw blade of 0.5-8 meter per second.
