PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biological pesticide using new plant-endogenous bacterium affecting no crop and capable of inhibiting the outbreak and propagation of tomato soil disease injuries. SOLUTION: The new bacterium is a tomato-endogenous bacterium, being newly isolated bacterium belonging to the genus Bacillus megaterium or the genus Bacillus mycoides each exhibiting controlling action on soil disease injuries. The plant disease injury-controlling agent comprising the above newly isolated bacterium as the active ingredient, and the method for controlling plant disease injuries using the above agent, are provided, respectively.
